| Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Major League Baseball has approved the sale of the Houston Astros to a group headed by local businessman Jim Crane, and also announced that the longtime National League franchise will move to the American League West for the 2013 season. Drayton McLane reached an agreement to sell the club to Crane in May for a reported $680 million. The 29-year-old Bixler hit .205 with a double, two triples and two RBI in 79 games for the Nationals in 2011. The versatile Bixler played all three outfield positions and three infield positions last season. In 147 career games with Pittsburgh (2008-09) and Washington (2011), Bixler has hit .187 with eight doubles, three triples and seven RBI. |

He was 52. Adams played 66 games as a utility infielder during the 1982 and 1983 campaigns.
